Advanced Quantum Mechanics II
Quantum Mechanics II: Complex Issues expounds on some of the more advanced topics and current research in quantum mechanics, drawing on more than a decade of research and the authors' own teaching experience. This book begins with a chapter on quantum field theory and then moves on to basic principles, key features, and applications, as a follow-up to the authors' introductory book Quantum Mechanics I: The Fundamentals. It discusses modern quantum technology and phenomena, as well as emerging quantum issues of interest. Ghost imaging, detection of weak amplitude objects, entangled two-photon microscopy, detection of minor displacements, lithography, metrology, and teleportation of optical pictures are among the promising applications described by the authors. At the end of each chapter, they provide various problems and worked-out examples.
